Daniel G. Moore, a 56-year-old resident of Princeton died on Thursday morning, July 7, 2005 at the North Kansas City Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 10, 2005 at the Greenlee-Middleton Funeral Chapel in Princeton. Pastor Guy Olin Thomas will officiate. Burial will be in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, northwest of Princeton.
Open visitation begins at 8 a.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2005 at the funeral home, where a family visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. on Saturday.
Mr. Moore was born on Feb. 2, 1949 in Trenton, the son of Hudson Glenard and Helen Irene Swingle Moore. He was raised in Mercer County and graduated in 1967 from Princeton High School. He was a veteran of the Army, serving in the Vietnam War from 1969 to 1971 and serving the last year in northern Germany. He was employed for several years by Mid States Excavating of Blue Springs as a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of Operating Engineers Union #101.
He is survived by his parents of Princeton; a sister, Nancy Ingrassia of Kearney; two nieces, Michelle Fillpot and her husband, Barry, of Liberty and Rochelle Hearn and her husband, Randy, of Liberty; two great-nieces, Ashly Fillpot and Shelby Hearn; a step-great-niece, Jessica Fillpot; a sister-in-law, Vickie Moore of Lee’s Summit; a step-niece, Azure McGee of Lee’s Summit; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Don; and a step-nephew, Devie McGee.
