Robert E. ?Bob? Wilson, an 87-year-old resident of Trenton died Saturday afternoon, May 28, 2005 at Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton.
Funeral Services were held at 2 p.m. today (Tuesday May 31, 2005) at Slater Funeral Home in Trenton with Rev. Jerry Henderson officiating. Burial was in Resthaven Memorial Gardens north of Trenton.
Special music was provided by recordings and included ?Tennessee Waltz?, ?Just A Closer Walk With Thee?, and ?How Great Thou Art?. Pallbearers were Mark Bozarth, Dan Parker, Stanley Myers, David Myers, David Wilson, and Ron Osborn.
Mr. Wilson, was born December 13, 1917 in Spickard, the son of Joshua Pittman and Maudie Lee Vanderpool Wilson. He graduated from Spickard High School in 1935. He lived in Spickard, Allerton, IA and moved to Trenton in 1981. Before retiring, he sold insurance for Mutual Of Omaha Insurance Company.
He was married to Lorraine Wyer at Trenton. She preceded him in death on March 29, 2002.
He is survived by one daughter, Annette Myers and her husband H.K. of Turney; two sons, Robert L. ?Bob? Wilson of Trenton, and Larry Wilson of St. Charles; eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother, R.J. Wilson, and by two brothers Raymond Wilson and Richard Wilson.
Memorials have been suggested to the Alzeimer?s Association. These may be left at the funeral home.
