Phyllis V. Leeper, a 72-year-old resident of 438 N.E. 53rd St., Trenton, died Wednesday evening, May 25, 2005, at Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton.

Phyllis V. Leeper, a 72-year-old resident of 438 N.E. 53rd St., Trenton, died Wednesday evening, May 25, 2005, at Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 28, 2005 at the Honey Creek Chapel Christian Church, located northeast of Trenton. Rev. David Noble will officiate. Burial will be in the Honey Creek Cemetery.

A family visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 27, 2005 at the Slater Funeral Home in Trenton.

Mrs. Leeper was born March 17, 1933 in Trenton, the daughter of Freddie Leon and Edith Elizabeth Almond Whitaker. She attended Trenton High School and obtained her Licensed Practical Nurse degree from Trenton Junior College. She was a lifelong resident of Trenton and worked for Wright Memorial Hospital for 17 years.

Mrs. Leeper was a member of Honey Creek Chapel Christian Church northeast of Trenton.

On January 22, 1950 she was married at Trenton to Johnnie Leeper, who survives of the home.

She is also survived by a daughter, Sherry Ervie and her husband, Lavern of Chula; two sons, Terry Leeper, and his wife, Susan of Trenton; and Larry Leeper and wife, Margaret of Princeton; three sisters, Louise Jobe, Annis Smith, and Kathy Kidd, all of Trenton; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Jerry Whitaker and Shirley Whitaker; one grandson, Jake Leeper and his wife, Stacy; one great-grandson, Korben Foster; and one great- granddaughter, Tara Leeper.

Memorials are suggested to a trust fund for her great-granddaughter, Nesa Leeper.
