Frances Irene Johnson, an 84-year-old resident of Princeton, died on Saturday, May 21, 2005 at the Eastview Manor Care Center in Trenton.

Frances Irene Johnson, an 84-year-old resident of Princeton, died on Saturday, May 21, 2005 at the Eastview Manor Care Center in Trenton.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25, 2005 at the Greenlee-Middleton Funeral Chapel in Princeton. Pastor Guy Olin Thomas will officiate. Burial will be in the Ravanna Cemetery.

An open visitation is under way at the funeral home. A family visitation will be held from 7 to 8 o?clock tonight (Tuesday, May 24, 2005).

Mrs. Johnson was born on Aug. 7, 1920 in Lucerne, the daughter of Thomas B. and Myrtle Myers Vincent. She was raised in the Lucerne area and graduated in 1939 from Lucerne High School. She was married on Aug. 16, 1941 to Vencil Gene Johnson, who preceded her in death on May 17, 1991. She worked for 10 years as a cook for the Princeton school system before going to work for the Axtell Osteopathic Hospital for 10 years as a receptionist. She enjoyed going for rides in a car. She was a member of the Princeton First Baptist Church.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by two sons, Don Johnson and his wife, Willa, of Springfield, and Ron Johnson of Princeton; two granddaughters, Jill Nieman and her husband, Steve, of Springfield and Kesa Johnson of Denver, CO; and two great-grandsons, Blake and Hogan Nieman of Springfield.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jan Johnson; two brothers, Don and James F. Vincent; and two sisters, Amber Wilson and Marjorie Frazier.
