Stacy Louise Leeper, a 28-year-old resident of the Mill Grove Community in Mercer County, died on Wednesday, May 4, 2005 at the North Kansas City Hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident five miles northwest of Trenton on Route A on Friday, April 29, 2005.

Stacy Louise Leeper, a 28-year-old resident of the Mill Grove Community in Mercer County, died on Wednesday, May 4, 2005 at the North Kansas City Hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident five miles northwest of Trenton on Route A on Friday, April 29, 2005. Her husband and daughter were also killed in the accident.
Funeral services will be held with her husband and daughter at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 6, 2005 at the Resthaven Mortuary, north of Trenton. Burial will be in the Martin Cemetery, north of Trenton.
A family visitation will be held from 7 to 8 o’clock this evening (Thursday, May 5, 2005) at the mortuary.
Mrs. Leeper was born on Oct. 3, 1976 in Trenton, the daughter of Marion and Lela Stephens Hughs. She was raised in Trenton and graduated from Trenton High School. She was married on Aug. 16, 1997 at the Melbourne Baptist Church in Melbourne to Jake M. Leeper. They had lived all their married lives at Mill Grove. She was a nurse’s aide and had been employed at the Eastview Manor Care Center in Trenton since she was 16 years old.
She was a member of the Melbourne Baptist Church.
Mrs. Leeper is survived by a daughter, Nesa Ann Leeper of the home; her parents, Marion and Lela Hughs of Brimson; a brother, Bradley Hughs and his wife, Bobbie, of Chillicothe; a sister, Sharmin Hines of Brimson; a grandfather, Sam Stephens of Pueblo, CO; and four nieces and one nephew.
Besides her husband, Jake Leeper, and her daughter, Tara Lynn, she was preceded in death by a brother, Samuel Bradey Hughs; and her grandparents, Samp and Lulu Hughs and Dorothy Stephens.
The family has requested memorial contributions be made to the Nesa Ann Leeper Educational Fund. These may be left at or mailed to the Resthaven Mortuary at PO Box 587, Trenton, MO 64683.
