A meeting will be held on Monday, May 9 to continue planning for the Grundy County Relay for Life event, which will be held June 10-11 at C.F. Russell Stadium.
The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. at the Ketcham Community Center on the North Central Missouri College campus. Teams should send a representative to the meeting. For more information, persons can contact co-chairmen Shelly Searcy, 673-6456, or Gay Urton, 673-6381.
Several Relay for Life teams have announced upcoming fund-raising events. The list includes:
May 5 – Bake Sale by the Wright Memorial Hospital Blackjacks, Wright Memorial Hospital Cafeteria from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
May 7 – Bake Sale by Shirley’s Hope, Pamida Parking lot from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
May 7 – Garage Sale by Barnes-Baker, Barnes-Baker from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
May 8 – Cookie Walk by Church of the Nazarene, Church of the Nazarene after church services.
May 27-28 – Garage Sale by the Church of the Nazarene, 1710 E. 4th St., 5 to 8 p.m. on May 27 and 7 a.m. to noon on May 28.
May 28 – Spaghetti Supper by Shirley’s Hope, Laredo Lions Hall.
June 4 – Ice Cream Social by Dockery Chapel Church, Dockery Chapel Church.
June 6 – Bake Sale by North Central Missouri Mental Health Center Freudian Slips, 1601 E. 28th St.
