Ryan Michael Bosley, a 16-year-old resident of 835 W. 15th St. in Trenton, died on Saturday morning, April 30, 2005 at the Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 4, 2005 at the Trenton High School gymnasium. Rev. Jennifer Jennings will officiate. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Trenton.
A family visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3, 2005 at the Hodge Presbyterian Church in Trenton. Open visitation is under way at the Slater Funeral Home in Trenton.
Ryan was born on June 6, 1988 in Trenton, the son of Paris Michael and Beverly Jo Lankford Bosley. He was a sophomore at Trenton High School. Ryan was a two-year letterman in high school football, basketball and tennis. Ryan was a member of the Future Business Leaders of America and was named to the KMZU Basketball Dream Team this past year. He was a Life Scout and was a member of Boy Scout Troop 99 and the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. He was a lifeguard at the Trenton Aquatic Center last year. Ryan enjoyed playing baseball and golf. He was a member of Hodge Presbyterian Church in Trenton.
He is survived by his parents, Mike and Beverly Bosley of the home; one sister, Megan Bosley of the home and her fiance, Tyson Lober of Cameron; two brothers, Trent Leeper and his wife, Robyn, of Honolulu, HI and Trevor Leeper and Karri Leeper of Trenton; his maternal grandparents, W.J. ?Dude? and Nina Lankford of Princeton; two nephews, Travis Leeper and Trager Leeper, both of Trenton; several aunts and uncles, including Brenda and David Heck of Brimson, Gloria and Olen Stephens of Spickard and Benny and Debbie Lankford of Princeton.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Paris and Nora Beatrice Bosley.
The family suggests memorials to a scholarship fund in memory of Ryan or to Trenton High School Athletic Department in Ryan?s memorial. They may be left at the funeral home.
