Opal Pauline Clark, a 73-year-old resident of near the Half Rock community, died on Monday, April 25, 2005 at her home.

Opal Pauline Clark, a 73-year-old resident of near the Half Rock community, died on Monday, April 25, 2005 at her home.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 29, 2005 at the Greenlee-Middleton Funeral Chapel in Princeton. Rev. Bill Stanturf will officiate. Burial will be in the Half Rock Cemetery.

An open visitation will begin at 8 a.m. on Thursday, April 28, 2005 at the funeral home. A family visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. on Thursday.

Mrs. Clark was born on Nov. 11, 1931 near Modena, the daughter of Allen and Grace Swan Miller. She was raised in Mercer County and graduated in 1949 from Princeton High School. She was married on Feb. 2, 1961 to Ernest Ray Clark, who survives of the home. Since their marriage, the couple lived on their farm and raised cattle. Prior to her marriage, she was a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell in Trenton.

Mrs. Clark enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening and helping on the farm. She was a member of the Providence Baptist Church at Half Rock.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Jeania Hobbs and her husband, Duane, of Princeton; two sons, James Stamper and his wife, Patricia, and Bill Stamper and his wife, Keri, of Princeton; a stepson, Jack Clark and his wife, Sharon, of Spickard; one brother, Lyle Miller and his wife, Neva Lea, of Orion, IL; a daughter-in-law, Donna Clark of Silvis, IL; a sister-in-law, Gurtha Harker of East Moline, IL; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Roy Miller; a stepson, Jerry Clark; and two grandchildren, Gregory Clark and Corey Stamper.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the Wright Memorial Hospice or Half Rock Cemetery. They may be left at or mailed to the Greenlee-Middleton Funeral Chapel at PO Box 316, Princeton, MO 64673.
