Bingham Earns Art Award
Jeremy Bingham has won the second annual Northwest Missouri State University “Take the Cover Art Challenge” contest.
The competition was held earlier this trimester by the NWMSU Office of Information Systems, in cooperation with the Office of University Relations and the Art Department. The contest was designed to draw attention to the “Computer User’s Guide to the Electronic Campus,” a publication containing information about campus computing resources, guidelines and policies.
Bingham, a graduate of Grundy R-5 High School at Galt, will graduate this spring with a degree in interactive digital media and visual imaging. His past work includes designing the Harrison County Community Hospital logo for the new health care facility at Bethany.
His artwork was selected from among several student entries and will appear on the front cover of the 2005-2006 “User’s Guide,” which is distributed each year to all incoming freshmen and selected faculty and staff. Contest submissions were criticized and voted on by a panel of judges, which included representatives from the three sponsoring entities.
Bingham will get his name listed in the acknowledgement section of the guide and will receive a 128 USB pen drive. He also receives two finished copies of the guide for his portfolio.
Bingham was chose to participate in the NWMSU invitation-only Student Quality Symposium earlier this year and made the dean’s list for the fall 2003 and fall 2004..
