Wendell E. Browning, a 72-year-old resident of Long Beach, CA, died at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2005 at his residence.

A graveside service is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Monday, April 11, 2005 at the Spickard Masonic Cemetery at Spickard. Rev. Clark Hargus will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of the Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton.

Mr. Browning was born Sept. 13, 1932 in Trenton, to Roy and Clara Ralston Browning. He graduated from the Galt school system. He enjoyed outdoor activities, including golfing, fishing and hunting. He had been an executive purchasing agent for the petroleum industry and was active in the Masons, where he had served as the worshipful master, and the Shriners organization.

Mr. Browning is survived by two daughters, Twiligh Rogers of Redondo Beach, CA and Sharon Sandison and her husband, John, of Desert Hot Springs, CA; a sister, Wilda Haley of Liberty; and two brothers, Roy Browning of Huntington Beach, CA, and Pat Browning of Anaheim, CA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian; a son, Gary Browning; and two brothers, Donald and Kenneth.
