Mary Jo Callahan, a 65-year-old resident of Cameron, died on Monday, April 4, 2005 at the Liberty Hospital.

Prayer services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 8, 2005 at the St. Munchin Catholic Church in Cameron.

Visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at the Poland-Thompson Funeral Home in Cameron.

Mrs. Callahan was born on Sept. 20, 1939 in Galesburg, IL, the daughter of Raymond and Margaret Swearingen Myers. She was a licensed practical nurse.

Mrs. Callahan is survived by one son, Dan Callahan of Platte City; one daughter, Kelly Whitaker and her husband, Lyle , of Macon; one brother, Harold Myers of Spickard; and five grandchildren, Ashley, Amber, Quinn, Jesse and Sarah.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family suggests memorials to the American Diabetes Association or the American Kidney Foundation.
