City council, mayor and school board positions will be decided as well as members for the Grundy County Nursing Home District Board of Directors. Candidates for the various area elections include (incumbents are designated with an *):

City council, mayor and school board positions will be decided as well as members for the Grundy County Nursing Home District Board of Directors. Candidates for the various area elections include (incumbents are designated with an *):

City

(terms are two years

unless otherwise noted)

Trenton – Jackie Soptic* and Kevin Klinginsmith, first ward; Steve Perry*, second ward; Don Peyton*, third ward; and Carolyn Garcia and Greg Lamp, fourth ward.

Laredo – Tammy Pipes*, south ward; Nora Reeter*, north ward; and Helen Martin*, one-year term in the north ward.

Spickard – Wayne Wilson*, mayor. Robert Darby has filed as a declared write-in for north ward alderman.

Galt – Reggie Grindstaff*, north ward. Jeromy Romesburg has filed as a declared write-in candidate for the north ward. No one filed for mayor or south ward alderman.

Jamesport – Jerry Pierce, mayor; Earl Wright* , west ward alderman; and Virginia Hopkins*, east ward alderman.

Princeton – Dee Hobbs*, north ward; and Georgetta Young and Chad Snapp*, south ward.

School

(terms are three years unless otherwise noted; three will be elected to the three-year terms)

Trenton R-9 – Tracy Ausmus Utley, Wes Hahn, Kevin Ireland, Matt Walker, Jonathan Smith, Robert Urton, Rod Cotton, Kevin Bailey and Terry Spillman.

Pleasant View R-6 – Tim Allen*, Toni Wilson and Kyle Russell, for three-year terms; Joe Brinser*, one-year unexpired term.

Laredo R-7 – Jim Marsh*, Brad Tolson* and Kendall Foster *, three-year term; and Mona Loyd, one-year unexpired term.

Spickard R-2 – J.R. Roberts*. Robert Darby has filed as a declared write-in candidate.

Grundy R-5 – Damon Neff, Allen Berry* and Dennis McDonald*, three-year terms; and Mike Herrold*, two-year unexpired term.

Princeton R-5 – Beth Gilbert*, Kenneth Stout, Linda Logan Siemer and Dr. Larry Letner, three-year terms; and Sara Howsden, Greg Humphrey and Dr. Tammy Hart, one-year unexpired term.

Harrison County R-4 – Pam Burrows, Allen King, Ed Oram*, Michael Ragan and Ken Dennert .

Tri-County R-7 – Rodney Odom*, Richard Dustman*, Brandon Hoover, Mike Huston, Roger Savage and Boyd Harrison .

Newtown-Harris – Chris Gibson, Jack Wells, Karen Andreson* and Misti Coin.

Nursing Home

Grundy County (two to be elected) – Carolyn Garcia, Don Altes and Carol Seidel*.

Township Offices

Harrison Township – Dyle Wilson, trustee; Melanie McCloud, collector; Donna Wilson, clerk; and Keith A. Rutledge, board member. Harrison Township will also be asking voters to continue an additional 35- cent tax on the $100 assessed valuation for a four-year period.

Jefferson Township – Richard Key, trustee; Rocetia Hutson, collector; Eugene Hutson, David Key and Ira Woody, board members, and Harold Kost, who is a declared write-in candidate for board member.

Lincoln Township – Sharon L. Ferris and Vickie Pash, collector. No one has filed for trustee, clerk or board member. Lincoln Township voters are also being asked to continue to levy an additional 35 cent tax on the $100 assessed valuation for four years.

Liberty Township – Melvin Berry, trustee; Susan Brown, collector; Archie Smith and Ernest Tolle, board members; Lou Ann Scott and Joseph Stimpson are declared write-in candidates for township clerk. Liberty Township voters are also being asked to approve the continuation of a 35 cent tax on the $100 assessed valuation for a period of four years.

Madison Township – Dale Alumbaugh, trustee; Judy Castle and Lisa Gannon, collector; Donna Diven, clerk; Gayle McCloud, Max Dickerson, Ike Taul and Frank Todd, board member.

Marion Township -Leslie Reed, trustee; Kristie Fox, collector; Carolyn Whitney, clerk; Pamela Aldrich, Richard Brewer, James Jeffrey Staples, board member.

Taylor Township -Taylor Township voters will be asked to approve the continuation of a 35 cent additional tax on the $100 assessed valuation.

Trenton Township – Roy Simpson, trustee; Beth Kennedy, collector; David Trickel and William T. Stratton, board member.

Washington Township – The following persons have filed as declared write-in candidates: Eddie Stewart, trustee; Aric Hein, township clerk; Steve Towns, board member; and Nancy Stewart, collector.

Wilson Township – Cleta Sterling has filed as a declared write-in candidate for township collector.
