A Fulton resident has accepted the position of community developer for the city of Trenton.
Sean Burge will begin his duties with the city on May 2. He is currently working as the regional planner for the Mid-Missouri Regional Planning Commission in Ashland. He has also worked with the Department of Economic Development in Jefferson City in the business services and community development divisions, administering state tax programs and CDBG loan programs. He is a graduate of Westminster College in Fulton with a degree in economics and a minor in sociology. His wife, Glenda, is a senior evaluator for Job Point in Columbia, which works with putting mentally and physically handicapped individuals back into the workplace.
Burge was hired by the Trenton City Council during an executive session on March 21. He will be paid a salary of $40,000.
