Wilma Shaw, a 91-year-old resident of the Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton, died at 6:20 a.m. on Thursday, March 24 2005 at the Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton.

Wilma Shaw, a 91-year-old resident of the Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton, died at 6:20 a.m. on Thursday, March 24 2005 at the Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 26 2005 at the Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home in Trenton. Brother Doug Crawford will officiate. Burial will be in the Willis Creek Chapel Cemetery, north of Brimson.

A visitation will be held 30 minutes prior to the service.

Mrs. Shaw was born on March 24, 1914 in Dawson, NE, the daughter of George and Lillie Stump Price. She was married on July 2, 1924 at Rock Port to Hobert James Shaw, who preceded her in death on Aug. 20, 1988. After their marriage, they lived in St. Joseph for several years. She taught school for 20 years in St. Joseph and one year at Laredo. The couple moved to a farm near Galt in 1968 and moved to Trenton in 1981.

She attended the Coon Creek Baptist Church and the Faith Bible Church and played piano at both churches.

She is survived by one son, Dennis Shaw and his wife, Agnes, of Olathe, KS; three grandsons, Bradley Shaw and his wife, Caroline, and their children, Julia, Addison, Annabel and Emily, of Shawnee, KS; Stephen Shaw and his wife, Amy, and their children, Gabby and Hayden, of Shawnee; and Jason Shaw and his wife, Holly, and their daughter, Bronwyn, of Kansas City; and one brother, Donald Price of Moro Bay, CA.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a a daughter, Helen Shaw in 1946; one brother, Wilford Price; and two sisters, Thelma Kinlen and Jane Podwys.

The family suggests memorials to the Coon Creek Baptist Church or the Faith Bible Church. They may be left at or mailed to the Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home at 813 Custer St., Trenton, MO 64683.
