John Junior Molloy, a 74-year-old resident of Laredo, died on Monday, March 21, at the North Kansas City Hospital in North Kansas City.

John Junior Molloy, a 74-year-old resident of Laredo, died on Monday, March 21, at the North Kansas City Hospital in North Kansas City.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 25, 2005 at the Schoene-Ruschmeier Funeral Home in Milan. Rev. Gene Schreffler of Galt will officiate. Burial will be in the Thomas Union Cemetery, northwest of Milan. Casketbearers will be Eldon Peterie, Cary Peterie, Mike Peterie, Garry Humphreys, Charles Smiley and Jonathan Minor.
A visitation is scheduled from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, March 24, 2005 at the funeral home.
Mr. Molloy was born on Dec. 16, 1929 near Osgood, the son of John P. and Della Imogene Hess Molloy. He was married to Martha Molloy, who preceded him in death; He was married on March 6, 1994 to Lorene Coffman Grindstaff, who survives of the home.
Mr. Molloy lived in Harris, Iowa and in Laredo for the past 10 years, serving as mayor. He was a member of the Galt Baptist Church. He worked in construction most of his life. He enjoyed woodcrafts and made a banjo. He also enjoyed tinkering with CB radios, fishing and hunting, especially coyotes.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, John Molloy of Aransas, TX and Johnny Culpepper of Sizemore; one daughter, Victoria Molloy of Aransas; two step-sons, Reggie Grindstaff and his wife, Jolene, of Galt, and Rodney Grindstaff and his wife, Patricia, of Raymore; eight grandchildren; three brothers, George Molloy of Liberty, PA, J.D. Molloy of Carbondale, KS, and Buck Molloy of Galt; one sister, Nola Cox of Linden, KS; four step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Rosie Ralls; a nephew, Dan Molloy; and a great-niece, who died in infancy.
The family suggests memorials to the Union Grove Cemetery, north of Osgood.
