Gladys Fister, an 84-year-old resident of the Eastivew Manor Care Center in Trenton, died at 7:51 p.m. on Monday, March 21, 2005 at the center, where she had been a resident since Aug. 28, 1997.

Gladys Fister, an 84-year-old resident of the Eastivew Manor Care Center in Trenton, died at 7:51 p.m. on Monday, March 21, 2005 at the center, where she had been a resident since Aug. 28, 1997.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 25, 2005 at the Payne Funeral Home in Galt. Rev. Velda Kincaid will officiate. Burial will be in the Salem Cemetery, west of Galt. No visitation is planned.
Mrs. Fister was born on Aug. 21, 1920 in Galt, the daughter of Ezzie and Pearl Anderson Hessenflow. She graduated in 1941 from Galt High School. She was married in 1942 to Walter Fister, who preceded her in death. They traveled as evangelists and took care of people in their home and also did cotton picking. She also worked at the Sears Cafeteria in Kansas City and worked in nursing at the Whitfield Nursing Home.
She is survived by one brother, Claude Hessenflow of Harrisonville; two sisters, Eleanor, now Mrs. Russell Campbell of Galt, and Martha, now Mrs. Emery Spainhour of Belton; and one cousin, Velda Kincaid of Trenton.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by seven brothers, one sister and one cousin, Melvin Kincaid.
