Leon Fred Limkemann, a 79-year-old resident of Meadville, died on Wednesday, March 16 2005 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 23, 2005 at the Wright-Baker-Hill Funeral Home in Brookfield. Rev. John Cook will officiate. Burial will be in the Meadville Cemetery at Meadville.

A family visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Limkemann was born on May 25, 1925 in Sutter, IL, the son of Samuel and Hester Hardy Limkemann. He was married on Sept. 11, 1942 to Ada Josephine Klinger, who preceded him in death on Jan. 28, 2004. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Meadville Saddle Club. He was a farmer and had been a dog broker for 35 years.

He is survived by five grandchildren and their spouses, Stacy Niemeier of Marceline, Kathy and Scott Spencer of Mendon, Bobbi and Don Polk of Trenton, Brandy and Noah Hastings of Trenton and John Limkemann and his fiancee, Lacey May, of Trenton; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Fleta Klinger of Golden, IL and Doris Logsdon and husband, Cletus, of Quincy, IL; two brothers, Don Limkemann and wife, Kathleen, of West Point, IL, and Richard Limkemann and wife, Shirley, of Bowen, IL; and one daughter-in-law, Marti Limkemann Campbell of Trenton.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, John Fredrick Limkemann.
