Clarence ?Bud? Jacobs, an 82-year-old resident of 2002 Haddox in Trenton, died on Tuesday afternoon, March 15, 2005 at Saint Luke?s Hospital in Kansas City.

Clarence ?Bud? Jacobs, an 82-year-old resident of 2002 Haddox in Trenton, died on Tuesday afternoon, March 15, 2005 at Saint Luke?s Hospital in Kansas City.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2005 at the Slater Funeral Home in Trenton. Rev. Ron Ward will officiate. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, north of Trenton.

Military graveside services will be conducted by the Joseph L. Norton VFW Post No. 919 at the cemetery.

There is no scheduled family visitation.

Mr. Jacobs, was born on July 21, 1922 in Chula, the son of Loren Lewis and Hattie May Kelly Jacobs. He attended the Independnece and Liberty schools, south of Trenton. Mr. Jacobs was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy. He loved farming, from which he was retired. He enjoyed John Deere tractors, traveling and camping with his family and being with his grandchildren.

He was a member of the Joseph L. Norton VFW Post No. 919 and the Crandall United Methodist Church, both of Trenton.

He was married on March 17, 1944 at Chillicothe to Betty Lamme, who survives of the home.

Mr. Jacobs is also survived by one daughter, Pam Marrs, and friend, Dan Linhart, of Spickard; one son, Skip Jacobs and his wife, Judee, of Princeton; five grandchildren, Tom Jacobs and wife, Sara, of Spickard, Zac Marrs and his friend, Jaime, Coby Marrs and Shey Marrs all of Trenton, and Joni Williams and her husband, Bryan, of Princeton; and four great-grandchildren, Brooke Jacobs and Rory Jacobs both of Spickard, Jordan Marrs of Trenton and Brylee Williams of Princeton.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Mildred Altenderfer and Lorene Petcoff.
