The Spickard R-2 Board of Education accepted the resignation of the school principal during a special meeting on Monday night.
Ruth Ann Shipps will be leaving her administrator’s role at the end of June. She has been principal at Spickard since 2001. Ms. Shipps said she plans to continue teaching. The board will immediately begin advertising for a replacement.
The next regular board meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 22.
