Viola L. Langdon, a 71-year-old resident of Trenton, died on Saturday, Feb. 5, 2005 at the Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton.

The body was cremated and no services are planned at this time. Slater Funeral Home of Trenton is in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Langdon was born on Feb. 14, 1933 in Camdenton, the daughter of Thurber and Leola Castel Garrett. She attended schools in Stoutland. She was a member of the Tenth Street Baptist Church in Trenton.

Ms. Langdon is survived by one daughter, Sherin Wilson of Trenton; one son, Ronald Wilson; Two sisters, Lena Smith of Joplin and Pauline Schaller of Belton; one brother, Lloyd Garrett of Lone Jack; and two grandchildren, Torrey and Miranda Gene.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Andy Garrett, Dale Garrett, Frank Garrett and Volley Garrett; and one sister, Anna Mae.
