Venita Lee Creason, a 59-year-old resident of Trenton, died at her home at 12:51 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 30, 2005.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2005 at the Tenth Street Baptist Church in Trenton. Rev. Ron Ratliff will officiate. Burial will be in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens, north of Trenton.
A visitation is planned from 7 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 31, 2005 at the Resthaven Mortuary, north of Trenton.
Mrs. Creason was born on Dec. 23, 1945 in Trenton, the daughter of Tommy Leroy and Juanita Viola Hill Reeder. She graduated in 1963 from Laredo High School. She was married on Dec. 22, 1963 at Laredo to Richard Lee Creason, who survives of the home. She was employed by Sunnyview Nursing Home for 15 years as a certified nurse’s aide and was also a homemaker.
She was a member of the Tenth Street Baptist Church in Trenton.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her mother and stepfather, Juanita and Curtis Ely of Trenton; one son, Lee Creason, and his wife, Dana, of Trenton; two daughters, Dianna Fox and her husband, Ron, of St. Louis and Amy Hinson and her husband, Michael, of Kansas City; four granddaughters, Lindsay and Haley Creason and Elizabeth and Joanna Fox; two grandsons, Hunter Hinson and Jeffrey Fox; three sisters, Tommie McKibben of Winterset, IA, Bonnie Midgyett of Chillicothe and Debbie Marshall of Columbia; two step-sisters, Angie Fowler of Aiken, SC and Linda Akeson of Augusta, GA; one step-brother, Robert Ely of Trenton; several nieces and nephews; and her Christian sister and brother, Barbara and Eldon Criswell of Trenton.
She was preceded in death by her father and a sister, Vickie Sims.
