Katie Ellen Hargrave, a 91-year-old resident of Chillicothe, died today (Thursday, Jan. 20, 2005) at Morningside Center in Chillicothe.

Katie Ellen Hargrave, a 91-year-old resident of Chillicothe, died today (Thursday, Jan. 20, 2005) at Morningside Center in Chillicothe.
Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home in Chillicothe at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 24, 2005. Burial will be in the May Cemetery at Chula.
General visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 23, 2005 and from 8 a.m. until service time on Monday. A family visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until service time on Monday.
Mrs. Hargrave was born Sept. 23, 1913 in Chula, the daughter of James E. and Katie Ellen Batdorf May. She was a homemaker and had lived in Livingston County all of her life.
On Feb. 12, 1941, she was married to Richard Hargrave. He preceded her in death on June 16, 1989.
Mrs. Hargrave is survived by two sons, James R. Hargrave of Warrensburg and Harry L. Hargrave and his wife, Myra of Brighton; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
