The board of directors of the Green Hills Community Action Agency met Tuesday night in Trenton, reaffirming its decision to purchase an apartment complex in Jamesport.

According to information provided by CAA Administrative Assistant Lisa Hostetler, the board reaffirmed their purchase of the Meadowview Apartments in Jamesport. Housing Development Director Art Heriford presented an analysis for the purchase of the affordable senior housing complex, noting that the official purchase closing would occur on Jan. 25. Heriford said the 25-year-old complex will need renovation, which will occur in the future. He also presented information to the board on the purchase of two housing units in Milan, with the board voting to purchase the units, located at 1014 and 1016 S. Rice St. The homes will be rented to eligible persons.

In other business, the board approved revisions in its travel policy, including a nominal increase in mileage reimbursement allowances, a slight increase in per diem allowances and a cap on the meal reimbursement rates in high-cost areas. Board members also heard an update on the agency audit process and were told by Fiscal Officer Aaron Franklin that the audit report has been received. The auditor will be present at the March meeting to give a full review of the audit. Scott Long, community services director, shared a parliamentary procedure review for board members and Mrs. Hostetler provided ROMA training.

Weatherization/Rehabilitation Director Marvin Meeker said bids have been received for properties damaged by hail. They will be reviewed by staff, with recommendations to be made at the March meeting.

Mrs. Hostetler presented an agency response to recommendations by the Missouri Association for Community Action for an internal service integration plan. Based on consultation from the state association, revisions to the plan include an agency-wide definition of self-sufficiency, emergency service provision, in-house case management teams, ROMA and service integration training for board and staff and an addition of focus group meetings to collect customer satisfaction and integration data. The board approved the review and plan.

The next regular meeting is scheduled for March 1.
