Amos Cleon Smith, a 70-year-old resident of Ozark, died on Thursday, Jan. 13, 2005.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 16, 2005 at the Adams Funeral Home in Ozark. Pastor Jesse Roberds will officiate.

A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 17, 2005 at the Resthaven Memorial Gardens, north of Trenton.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 15, 2005 at the Adams Funeral Home.

Mr. Smith was born on Nov. 12, 1934 in Brimson, the son of Pearl and Lura Hann Smith. He graduated from high school in Gilman City. He was married on Sept. 27, 1953 to Katheryn Barlow, who survives of the home.

Mr. Smith was a farmer and was also employed by Carnation Foods in Trenton. He was active in the Local Grain Millers Union, serving as vice president. He and his wife moved to Ozark 22 years ago. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and his many friends.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children and their spouses, Thresa and Jerald Marshall of St. Louis, James and Robin Smith of Nixa and Suzan and Terry Tummons of Springfield; six grandchildren, Stephanie and her husband, Eliot, Suzanne and her husband, Rob, Amos, James, Jon,and Jacob; and three great-grandchildren, Marilee, Zoe, and Isabelle.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Cecil Smith and Eston Smith; and twin grandsons, Justin and Tyler Smith.
