Mattie Aileen Allen, an 84-year-old resident of North Kansas City, died on Saturday, Jan. 1, 2005 at the North Kansas City Hospital.

Mattie Aileen Allen, an 84-year-old resident of North Kansas City, died on Saturday, Jan. 1, 2005 at the North Kansas City Hospital.
Memorial services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 8, 2005 at the D.W. Newcomer’s Sons White Chapel in Gladstone. A visitation will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 7, 2005 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Allen was born on May 9, 1920 in Browning, the daughter of Jess and Anna Crain. She grew up in Galt. She was valedictorian of her graduating class at Galt High School and continued her education at Trenton Junior College. She began her career as a teacher in a one-room school house.
She was married to Victor Dee Allen, who survives of the home. They lived in the Kansas City area.
In addition to her husband of 55 years, she is survived by one son, David Allen; a sister, Jo Myers of Mesa, AZ; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
