The Grundy County Law Enforcement Committee has announced that the location of a proposed new law enforcement center will be in the block just south of the Grundy County Courthouse.
The committee is recommending that the Grundy County Commission acquire the block if a one-half cent sales tax issue passes in the Feb. 8 Special Election. The commissioners, who were meeting this morning, indicated they will be pursuing all measures to acquire the property at fair market value from its current owner, Jim McCarty.
