Estelle Ruth Ball, a 79-year-old resident of 1700 East 30th St. in Trenton, died on Sunday afternoon, Jan. 2, 2005 at her home.

Estelle Ruth Ball, a 79-year-old resident of 1700 East 30th St. in Trenton, died on Sunday afternoon, Jan. 2, 2005 at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2005 at the Slater Funeral Home in Trenton. Rev. Jennifer Jennings will officiate. Burial will be at the Wilds Cemetery, located northwest of Spickard.
A family visitation will be held from 7 to 8 o?clock on Monday Jan. 3, 2005 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Ball was born on May 25, 1925 in Modena, the daughter of Truman and Bina LeBaron Stewart. She attended Nigh Grade School in Modena, then graduated from Princeton High School. She lived in Modena and Kansas City, KS for 20 years before moving to Trenton. She taught school at the Centenal School for one year and the McVay School for two years. She was a 4-H leader for 15 years and a member of the Hodge Presbyterian Church in Trenton.
She was married at Modena on July 11, 1947 to James W. Ball, who survives of the home.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Janet Markel Ornburn and her husband, Lannie, of Olathe, KS, Tresa Lartrell Riggins and her husband, Larry, of Topeka, KS and Deborah Brents of Overland Park, KS; one son, James (Mike) Ball and his wife Sue, of Trenton; seven grandchildren, Lannie Ornburn, Christine Dowell, Tiffany James, Jennifer Ornburn, Kristopher Ball, Holly Alexander and Heather Altendorf; and nine great-grandchildren, Jordan James, Chandler Dowell, C. J. Dowell, Miranda Brents, Ashley Ball, Jacob James, Alexa Ball, Zoe Ball and Avery Charles Ornburn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Ethel Hamilton; and one grandson, Sean Brents.
