Dorothy Norris, an 80-year-old resident of Trenton, died at 9:03 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 30, 2004 at the Heartland East Hospital in St. Joseph.

Dorothy Norris, an 80-year-old resident of Trenton, died at 9:03 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 30, 2004 at the Heartland East Hospital in St. Joseph.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 3, 2005 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Trenton. Father Roland Carbone officiated.
Paul Marsh was the organist. The congregation sang “Amazing Grace”, “Precious Lord Take My Hand”, “Be Not Afraid” and “How Great Thou Art.”
Pallbearers were Tim Marsh, Nathan Marsh, Ron Talley, Mike Betz, Jeff Talley and Larry Marsh.
Burial was in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens, north of Trenton.
Mrs. Norris was born on Sept. 4, 1924 in Dickinson, ND, the daughter of Fred A. and Jennie M. Ridl Norris. She served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
She was married on March 7, 1953 in Paris, France to Winston R. Norris, who survives of the home in Trenton. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church and was a life member of the American Legion Post No. 31 at Trenton. She was a bookkeeper, retiring in 1981. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, traveling and taking care of family and pets. For the last several years she and her husband went to Texas for the winter.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two brothers, David Marsh of Meadville and Benny Marsh of Dunlap; three sisters, Margaret Hamilton of Trenton, Berdie Stamp of Trenton and Patty Talley of Beggs, OK; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Bruno Marsh.
