Daniel Lee Stark, a 45-year-old Milan resident, died Dec. 23, 2004 at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2004 at the Greenlee-Middleton Funeral Chapel in Lineville, IA. Rev. Rex Carmichael will officiate. Burial will be in the Girdner Cemetery, north of Mercer.
Open visitation is under way at the funeral home, where a family visitation will be held from 7 to 8 o?clock tonight.
Mr. Stark was born July 16, 1959 in Mercer, the son of James Rolla and Nancy Lee Goddard Stark. He was a 1977 graduate of Mercer High School.
On Oct. 19, 1980 he was united to Brenda Lee Snow. She survives of the home.
He had resided in South Lineville and Chillicothe before moving to Milan in August 2003. He had worked for the railroad now known as the Iowa and Minnesota Line for over 19 years.
Mr. Stark was a member of the Lineville-Mercer Christian Church of Mercer and the Mercer Lions Club. He was a former member of the Brotherhood of Maintenance Away railroad union and was a former volunteer with the Lineville First Responders. He enjoyed fishing and camping with his family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Timothy Allen Stark of Camp Lejeune, NC; two daughters, Crystal Lynn Bush and her husband, Ben of Chillicothe, and Tisha Leigh Puckett and her husband, John of West Des Moines, IA; three grandchildren, Haylea Gaunt, Corben and Cayden Bush; his mother, Nancy Stark of Mercer; a brother, Rev. Jack Stark and his wife, Denise of Mercer; his maternal grandmother, Carleta Goddard of Princeton; a sister-in-law, GayLynn Stark of Mercer; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joel and Nancy Snow of South Lineville; and his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Brentt Snow and his wife, Krista of Lineville; Brian Snow and his wife, Kate of South Lineville; Bridgett Kent and her husband, Jon of South Lineville; and Brandi Laswell and her husband, Jimmie of Mercer; and by other relatives and friends.
Mr. Stark was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Dr. James David Stark.
