Robert Daniel ?Bob? Johns, a 71-year-old Bethany resident, died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004 at a Bethany nursing home.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2004 at the Roberson Funeral Home in Bethany. Burial will be in the Prairie Chapel Cemetery in Bethany, with military rites conducted by VFW Post #2176 and American Legion Post #216 of Bethany, VFW Post #5329 and American Legion Post #106 of Albany and American Legion Post #56 of Eagleville.
A family visitation will be held at 7 o?clock tonight (Monday, Dec. 6, 2004) at the funeral home, with general visitation under way.
Mr. Johns was born on June 5, 1933 in Harrison County, the son of George Daniel and Zola Alice Foster Johns. He was a farmer and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Prairie Chapel United Methodist Church in Bethany.
On March 15, 1958, he was married to Nancy Funk in New Hampton. She survives of the home.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Johns is survived by a son, Danny Johns and his wife, Cristie of Maryville; two daughters, Jennifer Obert and her husband, Galen of Bethany, and and Elizabeth Endecott and her husband, Mark of Maryville; two sisters, Betty Rainey of Albany and Leota Norris and husband, Steve of Grain Valley; and five grandchildren, Katie Kiralfy and her husband, Josh, Caleb Obert, Elane Endecott and Derek and Shelby Johns.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Wave Funk; and two brothers-in-law, Don Rainey and Donald Lee Funk.
