Nellie Marie Wright, a 91-year-old resident of Princeton, died on Thursday, Nov. 25, 2004 at the Crestview Nursing Home in Bethany.

Nellie Marie Wright, a 91-year-old resident of Princeton, died on Thursday, Nov. 25, 2004 at the Crestview Nursing Home in Bethany.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 28, 2004 at the Greenlee-Middleton Funeral Chapel in Princeton. Pastor Gary Ponder Williams officiated. Burial was in the Ravanna Cemetery.

Mrs. Wright was born on Dec. 5, 1912 west of Ravanna, the daughter of Selwyn Miller and Eva Lucinda Snyder Loveless. She was married on Feb. 16, 1929 to Miles Marvin Wright, who preceded her in death on May 8, 1971.

The Wrights lived on a farm northwest of Ravanna all their married lives and also managed the Penrod Courts Motel in Princeton for a short time. Following Mr. Wright’s death, Mrs. Wright moved to Princeton, where she worked as a dispatcher for the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department and later as a sales clerk for Walker’s Hardware.

She was a member of the Ravanna United Methodist Church and attended the Princeton Unite Methodist Church.

She is survived by four daughters, Eva Moore, Twyla Coon and her husband, Gene, and Lelia Shaffer and her husband, Max, all of Princeton, and Gail Palestine of Gaithersburg, MD; seven grandchildren, Richard Moore and his wife, Terri, of Princeton, Jane Edwards and her husband, John, of Middletown, Julie Hickman and her husband, Mike, of Carl Junction, Roy Moore of Princeton, Allan Coon and his wife, Deborah, of Shawnee, KS, Terry Shaffer and his friend, Debi, of Princeton, and Tracy Shaffer of Princeton; 12 great-grandchildren, Katie and Clint Moore, Erica Eakes, Jed and Gretchen Edwards, Desi and Fallon Hickman, Lacey and Cheyenne Shaffer, Jed Antle and Sandra and Mark Palestine; one great-great-grandchild, Dryden Antle; and other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Harold Moore; and a brother, John Loveless.
