A conditional use permit is being sought which would allow Preferred Family Health Care, Inc. to house a 24-bed residential treatment center on property behind the building that currently houses its offices at 1622 1/2 Oklahoma Ave.
Larry D. Barnes, who owns the property on which the center would sit, is seeing the permit, on which a hearing will be held before the Trenton Planning and Zoning Commission at 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 6. The hearing will be held at city hall.
Preferred Family Care currently houses 20 patients at another site in Trenton and transports them to the facility on Oklahoma Avenue for treatment. A spokesman for Preferred Family, Jonathan Smith, said the new facility would replace the current arrangement, making it better for both clients and staff.
