Mary F. Bunker, an 80-year-old resident of Trenton, died on Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2004 at the home of a daughter in Trenton.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 22, 2004 at the Wallace Funeral Home in Newton, IA. Burial will be in the Newton Memorial Park Cemetery at Newton.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday.
Mrs. Bunker was born on Nov. 18, 1923 in Tilton, IA, the daughter of Frank and Marie Beason Sutphin. She lived in Newton for 43 years prior to moving to Trenton.
She was married on Nov. 29, 1940 in Kellogg, IA to George Bunker.
She was a member of the Zoar Church and was assistant manager with K-Mart for 20 years, retiring in 1980. She enjoyed embroidery, square dancing, camping and playing Bingo.
She is survived by a daughter, Marilyn Sholley and her husband, Vernon, of Trenton; a sister, Pauline Ackland of Kellogg; six grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, George Sholley; two great-grandsons, Brendon Sholley Gonzalez and Isaiah Sholley; and one brother, Rayford Sutphin.
Memorials can be made in Mrs. Bunker’s name and left at the funeral home.
