The Trenton Acting Guild?s fall show ?Moon Over Buffalo? has a variety of unique characters, with all of them connected to the theatre.
Linda Dannull plays the grande dame of the company, who is also Charlotte Hay?s mother and the company?s costume mistress. LeAnna Wilcox plays the company?s ingénue, or young female actress. Gary Peterson plays the Hay?s lawyer, who is in love with Charlotte.
Mrs. Dannull, a retired Rissler Elementary school teacher, continues to teach as a substitute. She has appeared in several TAG shows including “Hello Dolly”, “One Foot In Heaven”, “Anne of Avonlea” and “Cinderella.” She and her husband, Rex, have three children. They live in Trenton.
One of their children is LeAnna Wilcox of Trenton. Mrs. Wilcox is a second grade teacher at the Tri-County Elementary School. She played the title role in “Anne of Avonlea” and the fairy godmother in the musical “Cinderella.” Other TAG productions in which she has appeared are ?One Foot in Heaven? and ?Hello, Dolly.” She and her husband, Andy, live in Trenton.
Gary Peterson of Trenton is a complex manager at Premium Standard Farms in Princeton. A TAG veteran, his favorite roles were Selsdon in “Noises Off,” the mute king in ?Once Upon a Mattress?, and Oscar in ?The Odd Couple?. His wife, Mary, is the Trenton Middle School/Trenton High School librarian .
This production of ?Moon Over Buffalo? is sponsored by the Grundy County Friends of the Arts and the Missouri Arts Council. It will be presented on Friday, Nov. 19, and Saturday, Nov. 20, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 21, at 2 p.m. The play will be performed in the Hoover Theater in the Grundy County-Jewett Norris Library. Tickets are available at Total Entertainment or by calling 359-6229. Tickets are free to Friends of the Arts season ticketholders and NCMC students. The cost for all others is $5. Reserve seating is available.
