The S.M. Rissler Elementary Student Council is inviting all local veterans and those currently in the Armed Forces to join them in a Veteran?s Day ceremony to take place around the S.M. Rissler School flagpole at 8 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 11.
A new U.S. flag that has been flown over the Capitol building in Jefferson City will be raised, refreshments will be served and certificates of appreciation given to local honorees after the ceremony.
