Donald J. Aderholt Sr., a 72-year-old resident of Northeast Kansas City, died on Thursday, Oct. 28, 2004 at his home.

Donald J. Aderholt Sr., a 72-year-old resident of Northeast Kansas City, died on Thursday, Oct. 28, 2004 at his home.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2004 at the Marts Memorial Services in Kansas City. Burial will follow in the Leavenworth National Cemetery.
Mr. Aderholt was born on Aug. 20, 1932 in Wheeler, TX, the son of Everett Aderholt and Winnie Fay Mundy. He lived in Wheeler for the first few years of his life. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1950 during the Korean War, serving three years before being honorably discharged in 1953. He moved to Kansas City in 1961. He was employed at Richard and Conover Steel Company for 30 years, retiring in 1994. He was a Southern Baptist.
He was married in 1963 to Mary Lou Ellis.
He is survived by one son, Donald J. Aderholt Jr. of Kansas City; two daughters, Judy Ann Kelley of Newtown and Carol Jean Aderholt of Trenton; a companion, Sue Wilson; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his former wife, Mary L. Ellis; one brother, Virgil Lee Aderholt of Seminole, OK: and three sisters, Ethel Riggs and Louise Lee, both of Roswell, NM, and Mary Ann Lynn of Pensacola, FL.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Billy Aderholt; and a sister, Betty Jean Crocker.
