A Truman State University student is the third announced contestant for the 2005 Miss Trenton Area Scholarship Pageant.
Stacie Cooley is a junior at the Kirksville school, where she is pursuing a bachelor of science degree in business administration. She plans to obtain a master’s degree in health administration, with career goals of becoming a hospital administrator. At Truman, Miss Cooley received an A-Plus scholarship, has been named to the president’s list for four semesters and is a member of Phi Kappa Phi and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.
A graduate of Liberty High School, Miss Cooley has 17 years of dance training and will be performing a jazz dance during the talent portion of the Miss Trenton competition. She is a part-time dancer and has taught aerobics and Pilates as well as serving as an intern at HCA Midwest. She also apprenticed with the Kansas City ballet for one year.
Miss Cooley is the reigning Miss Kirksville. Her platform for the Miss Trenton Pageant will be “Promoting Physical Fitness in Children and Adolescents.” She is the daughter of Stephen and Paula Cooley.
The 2005 Miss Trenton Pageant will be held on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2005 at the Trenton AMS Mall auditorium. Doors open at 6 p.m., with the pageant set to begin at 7 p.m.
Tickets are on sale at the Trenton Republican-Times office at a cost of $10, $7 and $5.
