A Clovis, NM man has been named as the new president of North Central Missouri College in Trenton.
The Board of Trustees today voted to offer Dr. Neil Nuttall a contract to serve as the next president, replacing Dr. Walter Nolte, who resigned earlier this year to accept a president’s position at Casper, WY, Community College.
Dr. Nuttall, who currently serves as superintendent of the Clovis School District, is scheduled to begin his duties on Jan. 1. His contract will run through June 30, 2008 and he will be paid a salary of $110,000.
Dr. Nuttall was one of four individuals who were interviewed for the president’s position by the Board of Trustees. He and his wife, Suzanne, an elementary classroom teacher in the Clovis School District, are the parents of two children, Natalie and Nathan, both of whom are in college.
Dr. Nuttall earned a doctorate degree in community educa-tion/higher education/adult education from the University of Oklahoma at Norman. He has served as superintendent at Clovis for eight years and served five years as superintendent of schools at Muskogee, OK. He was also employed in the school districts of Altus, Blanchard, Lone Wolf and Weatherford, all in Oklahoma.
In addition to serving in the capacity of school superintendent and assistant superintendent, he has been an assistant principal, a classroom teacher and currently serves as instructor at both Eastern New Mexico University and Wayland Baptist University.
Dr. Nuttall will be a part of the Saturday night’s NCMC Alumni Banquet at the Ketcham Community Center, where he will be formally introduced in his new role.
