The third finalist for the presidency of North Central Missouri College will be on the Trenton campus next Monday, October 4th to meet the community, the college family and members of the Board of Trustees.
Third Candidate For NCMC Post Will Be In Trenton On Monday
The third finalist for the presidency of North Central Missouri College will be on the Trenton campus next Monday, October 4th to meet the community, the college family and members of the Board of Trustees.
Dr. James A. Johnson of Lubbock, TX is currently senior vice president of advancement for Lubbock Christian University, a position he has held for nearly three years. Prior to accepting the position at Lubbock, Dr. Johnson was director of corporate training and special projects at Darton College, a community college in Albany, GA. Additional experience includes president and CEO of the Ethos Leadership Group, an executive coaching and leadership training program that he administers in addition to his current duties at Lubbock Christian University.
Dr. Johnson also has experience as an associate dean of students, an associate professor of communication studies, and the director of corporate training and special projects in a college/university settings.
A graduate of Texas Tech University and Lubbock Christian University, Dr. Johnson earned his doctorate degree in university administration and organizational communication in 1986.
Dr. Johnson and his wife, Lesa, who is a nurse, are the parents of two children, Jonathan and Angela. Dr. Johnson is a member of the Workforce Investment Board, the County Child Welfare Board and the Economic Developers Association and previously served as an elected city councilman.
The community is invited to meet Dr. and Mrs. Johnson during a public reception on Monday from 3:30 to 5 p.m. in the Sugg Conference Room of the Ketcham Community Center. This is a change in location from previous receptions due to other activities taking place in the Dorris Rider Art Gallery at that time.
The Board of Trustees will conduct their interview with Dr. Johnson on Monday evening, meeting with Dr. Johnson and his wife for dinner at 5:45 p.m. in the Sugg Room, followed by the interview with Dr. Johnson at 6:30 p.m. in the president?s office, located in the Frey Administrative Building. The interview will be closed to the public and news media.
