Scarecrow Contest Planned
The Missouri Day Festival will again be sponsoring a scarecrow contest during this year’s activities.
First-, second- and third-place cash prizes will be awarded in both children (0 to 11 years of age) and adult (12 years of age and over) categories. Scarecrows being judged are to be left at the Rock Barn courtyard from 1 to 6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 15, and will be left for display throughout the weekend. Winners will be announced on Sunday. Those entering a scarecrow are responsible for stakes, chairs, straw or any other forms needed for display.
