Maxine Mosier, an 89-year-old resident of Eastview Manor Care Center in Trenton, died at 3:23 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 25, 2004 at the care center, where she had resided since Aug. 8, 2003.

Maxine Mosier, an 89-year-old resident of Eastview Manor Care Center in Trenton, died at 3:23 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 25, 2004 at the care center, where she had resided since Aug. 8, 2003.

The body was cremated and a memorial service will be announced later by the Resthaven Mortuary, north of Trenton.

Mrs. Mosier was born on July 8, 1915 at Marceline, the daughter of William Fritz and Mabel Phipps Fuhrman. She moved with her family to Trenton as a teenager and lived most of her life in Trenton. She graduated from Trenton High School. She was married on Nov. 5, 1938 at Gallatin to Francis Wilbur Mosier, who preceded her in death on Feb. 18, 1986. She was employed as a sales clerk for several years at Mattingly?s Department Store in Trenton.

Mrs. Mosier was a member of the First Christian Church, the VFW Ladies Auxiliary the garden club, the Order of the Eastern Star and the Moila Ladies Lodge at St. Joseph.

Mrs. Mosier is survived by one son, Steve Mosier and his wife, Pat, of Williamsburg, VA; and a granddaughter, Megan Mosier of Atlanta, GA.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Bill, Tom and John Fuhrman; and four sisters, Jenny Hoover, Nean Stockbridge, Ernestine Hicks and Betty Jane Fitzinger.
