Stephen William Horton, a 58-year-old resident of Trenton, died on Friday, Sept. 17, 2004 at his second residence in Humphreys.
Memorial services will be held at noon on Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2004 at the St. Philip’s Episcopal Church at Trenton, under the direction of Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home in Trenton. Father Ben Helmer and Father Bill Fasel will officiate.
Mr. Horton was born on Oct. 6, 1945 in Hanford, CA, the son of Truman and Betty Vera Davis Horton. He was married in April 1979 in Denver, CO to Peggy Hick, who preceded him in death on June 3, 2003. He was a world traveler and entrepreneur, starting many successful businesses. He and his wife sailed a sailboat to ports all over the world for a few years. They came to the Trenton area to retire and live out their lives.
Mr. Horton is survived by his father, Truman Horton, and his step-mother, Mary, of the state of Washington; a son, Steven Templar and his wife, Morgan, of Salt Lake City, UT; two grandchildren; a cousin, Tom Horton of Brunswick, ME; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his mother.
