Third District State Rep. Jim Whorton of Trenton will travel to several schools throughout the district next week.
On Monday, Sept. 20, Rep. Whorton will be at the Pleasant View R-6 School at 8:00 a.m., the Trenton R9 High School at 1:45 p.m. and the Trenton Middle School at 2:20 p.m. to give a first-hand account of the importance of representative democracy.
On Tuesday, Sept. 21, Whorton will visit the Spickard R-2 School at 8:30 a.m., the North Mercer R-3 school at 11 a.m. and two government classes at the Princeton R-5 School at 12:45 and 2:15 p.m.
On Wednesday, Sept. 22, Whorton will visit the Winston R-6 School at 8:30 a.m., the Gallatin R-5 School at 10 a.m., the North Daviess R-3 School at 11:35 a.m. and the Pattonsburg R-2 School at 1:20 p.m. He will visit with 11th graders at the Harrison County R-4 School at Gilman City at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 23.
