Mary L. Anderson, a 79-year-old resident of Basehor, KS and former Trenton resident, died on Monday, Sept. 13, 2004 at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 16, 2004 at the Slater Funeral Home in Trenton. Rev. Mike Moore will officiate. Burial will be at the Edinburg IOOF Cemetery in Edinburg.
A family visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2004 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Anderson was born Nov. 25, 1924 in Trenton, the daughter of Rhal and Rosa Rea Shaw. She graduated from Trenton High School in 1942. She received an associate of arts degree from North Central Missouri College in Trenton on May 12, 2001 at the age of 76.
She was a member of Union Baptist (Coon Creek) Church in Edinburg and the Trenton Rebekah Lodge No. 15.
She was married on March 12, 1955 in Trenton to Robert Anderson, who preceded her in death on June 19, 1994.
She is survived by one son, Leon Cunningham and his wife, Loretta, of Basehor; two grandsons, Lee Cunningham and his wife, Lisa, of Shawnee, KS, and Rob Cunningham and his wife, Leesa ,of Bonner Springs, KS; two sisters, Barbara Vandevender of Spickard and Nadine Bennett of Camden Point; and five great-grandchildren Allison, Carli, Alex, Maegan and Tyler.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one nephew.
