Effective Aug. 28, the fees for vital records in Missouri will increase due to action taken by the Missouri General Assembly.

As the county registrar, the Grundy County Health Department can print official records for births and deaths registered throughout Missouri. In most cases, records are generated in just a few minutes. Although birth and death certificates are only available for Missouri, the health department does have information about where to write for vital records in other states. As of Aug. 28, the cost for copies of birth certificates will increase to $15, while the cost for copies of death certificates will be $13 for the first copy and $10 for each additional copy.
