Frank Darr, a 92-year-old resident of the McLarney Manor in Brookfield, died on Thursday, Aug. 19, 2004 at the nursing home, where he had resided since Dec. 2003. He was a former resident of Laredo.

Frank Darr, a 92-year-old resident of the McLarney Manor in Brookfield, died on Thursday, Aug. 19, 2004 at the nursing home, where he had resided since Dec. 2003. He was a former resident of Laredo.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 21, 2004 at the Resthaven Mortuary, north of Trenton. There is no visitation planned. Burial will be in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens, north of Trenton.

Mr. Darr was born on June 16, 1912 at Trenton, the son of Georgie Franklin and Edith Pearl Criswell Darr. He lived mainly in Brookfield, where he owned and operated restaurants.

He was married to Dorothy Pease at Kansas City on April 13, 1968. She preceded him in death on March 2, 1990.

After his retirement, the couple lived at Trenton, where they catered events. They moved to Laredo in 1988 and following the death of his wife, Mr. Darr moved into the Granada Homes.

He was a former member of the Lions Club, Elks, Eagles and Moose lodges.

Mr. Darr is survived by a daughter, Juanita Crawford of Davenport, IA; two brothers, Buford Darr of the state of Utah, and Lester Darr of the state of California; a sister, Hallie Rhoades of Brookfield; one grandchild; two great-grandchildren; and a niece, Phyllis Craig of Chillicothe.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Forest and Clarence Darr; a sister, Vivian Seitz; and a granddaughter, Barbara Ann Greenwood.
