The Grundy County Nursing Home District Board of Directors met Monday night, setting the 2004 levy and approving a bid for roof repair.
Ken Dennert, administrative assistant at Sunnyview Nursing Home and Apartments, said the board set the levy at 15 cents on the $100 assessed valuation, which is the same levy as a year ago. The levy is expected to generate $129,744.87.
Dennert said the board approved a bid from Dean Peyton Contracting of Chillicothe to make repairs to the roof, which was damaged during the May hailstorm. Six bid specifications were sent out, with three received by the deadline. Two of the three met all requirements and Dennert said the Peyton bid of $273,371 was the lowest of the two.
The next meeting of the board is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 20.
