Funeral services for Winona M. Watts will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2004, at the Resthaven Mortuary, north of Trenton. Burial will be in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens, north of Trenton. A family visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the mortuary.
Mrs. Watts, a 95-year-old resident of the Eastview Manor Care Center in Trenton, died at 10:18 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 15, 2004 at the Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton.
Mrs. Watts was born on June 7, 1909 at Spickard, the daughter of George Nathan and Myrtle Bell Arney Stephens. She was raised in Spickard. She was married on Oct. 17, 1932 to Harry Thomas Watts, who preceded her in death on Aug. 25, 1990. After their marriage they lived on a farm west of Spickard for two years before moving to Tindall, where they lived for 12 years. They moved to Trenton in 1948. Mrs. Watts was employed for several years at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, then assisted with visitations after the mortuary opened. She had resided at Eastview Manor Care Center since June 13, 2002.
She was a member of the Methodist faith.
Mrs. Watts is survived by one son, Larry Watts and his wife, Susan, of Conway, AR; two daughters, Phyllis, now Mrs. Art Ash of Colona, IL and Norma Robinson of St. Louis; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Edith Smith and Loraine Schreffler.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the donor’s choice.
