Funeral services for Donald “Buck” Seymour will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 19, 2004 at the Resthaven Mortuary, north of Trenton. Rev. Barry Boulware will officiate. Burial will be in the Mt. Olivett Cemetery at Green City.

Funeral services for Donald “Buck” Seymour will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 19, 2004 at the Resthaven Mortuary, north of Trenton. Rev. Barry Boulware will officiate. Burial will be in the Mt. Olivett Cemetery at Green City.

Open visitation will begin after 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2004 at the mortuary.

Mr. Seymour, an 84-year-old former Trenton business owner, died at 3:25 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 16, 2004 at the Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton, where he had resided the past 12 days due to ill health. Mr. Seymour owned and operated the Grand River Press for many years and had resided at 164 Main St. in Trenton.

Mr. Seymour was born on June 20, 1920 at North Salem, the son of Orlo Gilbert and Lillian Rachael Eslinger Seymour. He was married on Sept. 1, 1941 at Milan to Louise Ayers, who preceded him in death on Feb. 23, 2002.

Mr. Seymour served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army and was stationed in the Pacific Theater for 38 months. The Seymours moved to Trenton in 1948.

Mr. Seymour was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church, the Joseph L. Norton VFW Post No. 919, served for several years on the North Central Missouri Fair Board and was active in Boy Scout Troop 99, all of Trenton.

Mr. Seymour is survived by two sons, Joe Seymour of Trenton and David Seymour of Kearney; a sister, Maryella Johnston of Kearney; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Basil, Ed, Richard and an infant brother, James Wendell Seymour; and one sister, Virginia Campbell.

The family suggests memorial contributions to either the Wesley United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.
