Spickard City Tax Hearing Held
The Spickard City Council held a public hearing to receive comment on the proposed tax levy.
According to City Clerk DeAnn Olson, there was not a quorum in attendance to approve the levy, but a special meeting has been called for 5 o?clock tonight at which time it is expected that the levy will be set at $2.1562 on the $100 assessed valuation. Of that amount, $1 is for general revenue (the maximum amount allowed by voters), with $1.1562 for debt service, which is for the general obligation bonds for the sewer project.
